Taping and Jointing in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire
Taping and jointing is used to create a smooth finish on plasterboard so it’s ready for snag-free painting or decoration. The surface of the plasterboard is taken as the finished surface. Only the joints between the plasterboards are ‘finished’. This method is used for the vast majority of new houses being built today.
The basic principle is that tapes are applied to all joints, followed by various coatings of jointing compound. Once dried, the jointing is sanded down for a perfectly smooth finish.
It may sound simple enough, but it does require a great deal of expertise to achieve the perfect finish. That’s where we come in! Our team can complete taping and jointing whilst working alongside carpenters, electricians and other tradespeople as the rest of the work doesn’t have to stop.
